If you are feeling depressed, it can feel hopeless. You’ve tried everything – and nothing seems to be working. It can feel like you are in a dark hole, and there is no way out…yet. One of the most important steps for you to take is to reach out and talk to someone about how dark and hopeless it all feels. Even if you aren’t able to get out of that dark hole, it will help tremendously if you can find someone to talk to who can open their heart and mind to you, and offer you some empathic resonance – one of the most healing experiences for human beings.
